While the campaign has pretty amazing gameplay with jaw dropping production(Imagine a Michael Bay/Jerry Bruckheimer movie) and multiplayer is as good as ever...I don't think this is where you will have most fun with this game.

The Horde mode in my opinion is absolutely briliant...and will keep you entertained for many weeks after you are bored and done with the campaign.

Assuming you have friends that own this game, the Horde mode touches that border between briliance and simplicity that can be played with other people...

Anyone else digging the horde mode as much?

I just played it from 4 hours straight with 3 other friends and I can't wait to wake up and continue tomorrow...level 27 on avalanche.

Could you explain in some detail what horde mode is ?

5 player co-op with waves of enemies attacking you. One member has to survive to make it to the next level. It's a great mode if you want to co-op with friends after campaign is done.

On a side note, co-op seems to be the big thing in this generation. I think R2's 8 player co-op and Gears campaign co-op are the best aspects of each title.

Horde mode is an "up to" 5 player coop mode played on special maps where uou and your friends fight against harder and harder locust enemies.

Each player gets only 1 life however they can be saved if they are not dead yet. When a player does die, they have the view of the whole map and can still help out in letting everyone know howmany baddies left and where they are coming from.

Top of the screen shows howmany enemies there are left and when it reaches 0, you move on to the next level which is harder with more enemies. After you defeat 10 levels it starts at level 1 again, except enemies have 2X the health, speed or ...something else...i can't remember. I believe each map goes to level 50...but im not sure.

Im sure that this is sounding very simple ...but trust me, this is why its so fun. I sure hope they release more maps for this mode later on...

yes horde mode is great, my friends were laughing thier ass off when i was getting chased by 4 huge locusts at the river map.

I was trap at the barn (2nd floor). one of those huge locust had a flamethrower i surely thought i was gone. luckily i defeated him, just when i was going down the stairs another 2 huge locust was waiting for me. yea i was %#$# .

Horde mode is the best. I can see I will be wasting hours of my life on that mode.

Yep Horde mode is so good, I have yet to start the story mode.

If you die, like in every other mode your teammates can revive you. If you end up dying, you are out for that wave. When the next wave starts you are back in
