Horde mode is an "up to" 5 player coop mode played on special maps where uou and your friends fight against harder and harder locust enemies.
Each player gets only 1 life however they can be saved if they are not dead yet. When a player does die, they have the view of the whole map and can still help out in letting everyone know howmany baddies left and where they are coming from.
Top of the screen shows howmany enemies there are left and when it reaches 0, you move on to the next level which is harder with more enemies. After you defeat 10 levels it starts at level 1 again, except enemies have 2X the health, speed or ...something else...i can't remember. I believe each map goes to level 50...but im not sure.
Im sure that this is sounding very simple ...but trust me, this is why its so fun. I sure hope they release more maps for this mode later on...
