If it does it would be just getting things back to normalcy since the console leader is supposed to have the lowest tie ratio.

Really at this point, the numbers seem to show that either the PS3 is fundamentally bad at selling software... or the Wii is amazing at selling software.

I really think it's the second since the 360 was given credit for breaking all sorts of attach rate records early in the year... and the Wii is right next to the 360 when adjusting from launch.

You need to take into account Wii & 360 have had their potentially biggest exclusiives already.

Halo 3, SMG, SSBB, Mk Wii.........& so on.

for PS3 (only MGA4 & GTA 4 boosted figures).....GT 5 remains to comes.....& thats a 10 Million selling game, that will increase the ratio a lot......FF XIII will help in numbers too.

I think you also have to factor in that not everyone that bought a PS3 bought it for games. some bought it for BR player.

Eurogamer is a nice propaganda outlet for Microsoft.

It's pretty clear, Sony taking equal timeframes sold about 1/3 more PS3 hardware than Microsoft sold 360s, in addition we all know the PS3 launched 5 months later in Europe and finally we know the PS3 saw a much bigger boost in hardware sales its second year on the market than the 360 enjoyed. So naturally this means on average people owned their PS3 for a shorter period than 360 owners taking equal timeframes.

The PS3 sells more software per month of owership. So this is all pretty meaningless for the long run.

i guess its will beat the Wii ratio this Christmas .. no need to wait for the next year.

The PS3 takes a hit in attach rates because it is also sold as a blu-ray player.   There are people buying the PS3 and purchasing no games.

 

 

Compare attach rates now, and at the end of '09, when most of PS3's big games are out. You'll be in for a surprise.

Even when you compare the first 2 years of each system being on sale, the 360 still takes it.
