But the Xbox 360 has been on sale for 35 months, the cheat, while the other two have been around for 23 months. Compare all three over the latter amount of time and Xbox 360 attach rate falls to 6.5.
Eurogamer is a nice propaganda outlet for Microsoft.
It's pretty clear, Sony taking equal timeframes sold about 1/3 more PS3 hardware than Microsoft sold 360s, in addition we all know the PS3 launched 5 months later in Europe and finally we know the PS3 saw a much bigger boost in hardware sales its second year on the market than the 360 enjoyed. So naturally this means on average people owned their PS3 for a shorter period than 360 owners taking equal timeframes.
The PS3 sells more software per month of owership. So this is all pretty meaningless for the long run.
