Really thing a big game like R2 is that blurry?

(Sorry hard to find comparison shots with IGN, probably because IGN doesn't have a bunch of garbage shots)

I don't doubt that the screenshots are of lesser quality...maybe due to a higher compression setting.

However what I do doubt and have a real hard time understanding, is what would be the motives for an independent review site to intentionally misrepresent a game...when a written review details "Large, vividly detailed environments" and to top it off, as mentioned before a score of 9! Maybe a more discreet thread title of 'Gamepsot Resistance 2 screens poor' would net you less detractors to your original point than to outright claim bias...

Couldn't be bothered reading the whole thing. The pics were hard to compare considering in one your eyes were instantly drawn to the bright corner and the aliasing on the crane whereas in the other it was much further away.

Suffice to say, the difference in file size you are talking about could be explained by one person using standard format and the other using optimised format in the 'save as' window in Photoshop. I just threw in a 1650*1050 wallpaper and tried both. The latter increases file size by 40-50% and it's a setting that Photoshop saves and uses every time once you use it.

Two people on two different computers could get quite different file sizes for the same images and never even really notice. Not saying Gamespot isn't biased;) but i'd want to see alot more evidence than this before i called it on the pics.

This is well know,Gamespot reviews were strangely low for PS3 exclusives,just like Eurogamer does,lately they're ( Gamespot) changing this trend,even Gamespot's members that own a PS3 are constantly arguing against them.

Therefore,Resistance 2 is excellent,no matter what they said,because at the end the only opinion that matters is the one from yourself.Obviously this could be said for the detractors.

I don't think they are. If their Ps3 reviews are lower than their 360 reviews, compared to IGN, it is because the sites have different feeling on what is important in a game.

The pictures look incredibly close to each other. If there is a slight difference, how do you know that this isn't the case for all games? Shouldn't you check that out before claiming that the site is biased?

Those that dont give MGS4 a 10/10 i really think they should go shoot themselfs... thats my fanboy opinion :). Its the best game of my life and if GTA IV has a 10 i really think MGS4 should too :/.
