Forums - Nintendo - CoD 5 wii

I'm really pissed off about the fact that multiplats coming out onto wii are kept in the dark almost until the day before they're released.  The same thing happened with 007 QoS, whilst the 360 and ps3 versiones got reviewed on time by ign, and got substantial media attention, no one knew diddly squat about the wii version.  This is a clear sign that the game is gonna suck balls, but still, somebody could have the decency to let tell us, and not say that it has N64 level graphics(exaggeration) 4 days after the release.

The same thing goes for CoD 5,  when it was announced I was pretty hyped.  I mean, call of duty is supposed to be a good quality franchise, but as time went by, the amount of information about this game grew scarce, until now.  Three days before the launch.  So what does this mean.  CoD is gonna suck? It'll be a mediocre FPS at best?  But thay said that the CoD 4 engine was gonna be integrated. My ass.  This game is probably gonna reek, but nobody says anything, it sucks.

Any body else thinking about buying it, or angry for the same reasons I am?

Didn't we get those water carpet screens a while before it came out.  Just checked, it was October 9th.  At least a lot of funny photoshops came out of it.

Same applies for CoD 5. It's really ridiculous

Well QOS for Wii had shit graphics and shit gameplay so it wasn't much to write about. For PS360 at least it had decent graphics which made it not a complete showelware. I wouldn't buy that game for any system that's for sure.

Let's hope that COD5 will have a different story.

Same developer. Don't expect this game to be the god of FPS

i am getting CoD5 , i want the wii game to be good or i can always get the PC version, as long as it plays like CoD4 but in WWII settings it should be good

Wrong buddy. Treyarch developed both QoS and CodWaW on the Ps360, but Treyarch only developed CoDWaW on Wii. Some other group made QoS on Wii, forgot the name. Its on the IGN review.

Actually my post wasn't only related to the Wii. Even when Beenox made the Wii version, I'm sure they only ported the CoD4 engine and changed the controls. So the story/gameplay is still Treyarch's idea. (Correct me here if I'm wrong)

So basically I meant QoS is a solid FPS on the HD consoles and a mediocre FPS on the Wii (according to IGN review. I haven't played the Wii version myself). That's why we ALL shouldn't have too high hopes for CoD:WaW. (Including HD versions)

By the way. I'm pretty sure Treyarch also developed Call of Duty 3 for the Wii, which wasn't AAA either ;)
