Ps3

I have a wii too but I hardly touch it nowadays....

maybe a shot of SSBB if someone comes round....but now LBP has taken over SSBB in that regard too

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

I have all three and use 360 as my main one.

360 seems to get almost all the good harder core games, the media integration is great with a Vista PC, and XBox Live is excellent.

I got the Sony 1st party exclusives and MGS4.. PS3 just seems like a computer too much to me. And I've had a lot of bad customer experiences with it.

The Wii, its fun, and I use it as my party console when people that aren't gamers come over and want to try their shot at games.

Wii and 360 are my main consoles. Ps3 right now is just gathering dust for now, until WKC possibly.

I have a Wii and 360.

I use Wii the most for all types of games.

I use 360 for Tales of Vesperia, NHL09 and Top Spin3. Some more games will be added to that list shortly.

Wii PS3, while I play games sometimes I need FAQ's so I always leave my PS3 on.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The Wii. Mostly because it's piqued my interest in a style of game that's quite literally impossible on any other system given current architectures.

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

Wii because of Brawl...

Only got a PS3 but choice would be simple, even with all 3. The PS3 would remain the main so I don't have to do any work when I want to watch a Blu Ray...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Two words for you backwards compatibility. Use the console that has a greater potential for honoring that promise. Sony has seemingly abandoned the concept this generation with no ill effect. Further more their hardware is not the standard, and regardless of any consoles current drives. Most will be physically capable of playing older media formats reliably. There is a serious question as to whether their next console will support their current consoles games. Especially since they probably do not feel that they must do this anymore.

Nintendo is not much better while the hardware was cheaper, and should be able to duplicate cheaply in their next console their nuance of design could be a killer. Nintendo has not been very loyal to the principle in the past, and you could very well find yourself in the next generation with a console that may be physically capable of running titles from the previous two generations. The console may need to support three different control schemes, and a mountain of peripherals. There is a safe bet that some hardware is not going to be supported, and if a game is best, or requires that hardware you may find yourself disappointed.

Microsoft supports the most standard technology which means the new technology should be in line with the older software. Microsoft has also done a rather decent job with software emulation which means the overwhelming majority of games should be playable on the next model. More to the point their consoles do have overlap.

Simple economics really when it comes time to move forward. You want the most consistent possibility of retaining your equity. Not only can you transfer over a library, but it increases the resale value of your old hardware, and your old software. Which is better then selling hardware and software at a significant loss, or being in the position where you must cover costs of reinvestment in old hardware. The greater chance of backward compatibility the farther your gaming dollar will go.

I would say the 360 is the safer bet of the three consoles. When the next generation comes. Investing in new hardware is a burden, but if you can sell off the old at a better price it does help greatly to defer costs.
