The X360 beat the Playstation 3 by 25,000 hardware units last week (90k to 65k) in North America.

It'll be VERY close, but I don't think it'll win. I expect VGC to have the X360 at around 7k and the PS3 around 35k - which would be a 28k margin in Japan. The X360 should exceed that margin a little bit.

I'll predict a gap of 5,000 units on the week - which will widen to 25k next week.

There's a chance.... but the fact that it lost in OTHERS scares me...

Japan has PS3 winning by 30k

Europe has 360 winning by 15k

Usually NA has a 20k gap between 360 and PS3. And i think this is the week where the bundles take effect (Arcade gives Sega Tennis and Pro/Elites offer Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda).

So 360 will win by at least 5k.



2008 360 prediction: 26 million (thus surpassing XBOX lifetime sales in one year less time).

As long as there are 360 bashers, I will be there to do something about it.

next week it will happen

i've changed my mind i think i got a little intemidated by the recent PAL 360 adjustment and IGN's 360 install and noise test but i think ps3

 So little big planet will be a huge flop, and not boost hardware at all?

It depends.

If hardware in NA remains similar to last week, the 360 should take a lead of 7-8k. If LBP provides a boost for PS3 sales though, it could be very close indeed.

I predict a 3-4k victory for the 360.

So the PS3 has an 11.5k lead going into American sales. If LBP pushed consoles like I think it did, then it should beat 360 this week by a small margin.

by all logic you would think the ps3 would infact beat the 360 WW this week but i have my doubts

the logic being LBP the hyped new IP vs fable 2 the sequel to an xbox game (both are great games, just saying fable 2 wont move as many systems as LBP imo) although fallout 3 may actually prove to be a system seller for both companies although more for the 360
