I don't really check for release dates, I almost never get games on day one, and the way I find it came out is that other people already have it :D

I find gamefaqs isn't very accurate unless it is a big name game, or if it was released a few weeks ago or more. However, I can use all the help I can get

@nordlead
gamefaqs hasnt failed me in years. Never noticed any errors for small games either and it is updated regularly afaik.
Only checked the release dates once or twice out of curiosity here.

Actually they are good because they have different ways of release dates, such as confirmed and rumoured, and for the confirmed one, sources are required

For American dates they are typically very good, Japanese and European dates typically are worse. Considering I run through all the games between now and christmas almost every week, I wouldn't be suprised if I see a lot more inacuracies than the normal user. Maybe I'm updating before they get to it for the following week, but who knows.
I have found on more than 1 occasion where every store you could buy the game has a certain date, yet gamefaqs has another, only to change a day later. In other instances, gamefaqs has had the wrong date after a release date change anouncement for at least 1 day.
I'm not saying gamefaqs sucks or anything like that. I'm just saying I don't count them as the "golden standard" for release dates.
