Wow, this game turned out to be good? I'm relieved. I really am. I love this francise and have every intenion of playing that game even though i don't usaully play xbox.

Typically I don't read much into reviews, but this last line kind of struck a chord with me.

There’s one moment of delicious irony in Banjo as you hop from one bland task to the next though. Don’t like the vehicle-based gameplay on offer?, the loading screen enquires. Don’t worry, it says, before suggesting you might want to try downloading the original Banjo-Kazooie from Xbox Live.

Wow that 6.5 score from IGN UK is really lower than I expected.

Boycot IGN as well guys, they don't know what quality is..

Looking at the raw scores, they kicked it for the sound and text, otherwise the game gets an 8.5. Last I checked that's pretty good quality.
