also depends if nintendo wants to release a not so overpowered console.

ps3 maybe able to compete wii 2 in graphics and by that time larger library.

This week's sales just reflect the pops that the 360 is getting in Europe from Gears 2 and Fable II; however, it will only last there for one to two weeks because of the fact that there are muchj better games on the PS3 this holiday season.

LBP = 95; Resistance 2 = 95, Valkyria Chronicles = 91.
Gears 2 = 95, Fable II = 88, Banjo 3 = 83.

The PS3 selling 92,000 units in Europe this week is much better than the 360's normal sales there, yet quite normal for the PS3, and you will see the PS3 selling over 10,000 more units in each week than the 360 in that territory within the next three weeks (just as almost it did last week).

So, the PS3 is still doing great in Europe. It doesn't need a price cut there. But if they totally want to stomp the 360 into the ground in that territory, I guess they could have one.

I see someone hasn't noticed the adjustments on the 360 sales for the last month.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

The PS3 beat both the Wii and 360 by signicant amounts in Japan this week. Winning Others and America this week only allowed the 360 to beat the PS3 worldwide by 6,000 units this week. Not much of an advantage.

next week will be interesting, is japan still >30K, or drop into 8K-10K again

^^
Next week we'll see LBP effects on Others too. Also, right now, it looks like in USA LBP delay did more damage than in Japan, compared to expectations, or alternatively that it had less effect on HW sales, but when I'm writing, US SW sales data are still at 25th October, so we can't say yet. As nobody expected a spike from LBP, but a slower but more sustained rise, currently data aren't bad, but we'll be able to say more only after a longer period.
Anyhow, right now all this war looks like F1 in Schumacher epoch, there's competition only for the lower ranks , Wii and DS numbers, excepted Wii in Japan, are already just insane, and we're still almost two months from Xmas.

Man relax, the 360 will win by a slight margin after X-mas the gap will be something like 6.5 and then in march there will be a price drop for PS3 (killzone 2 release).
THAT will destroy 360,just wait and stop with this SONY IS DOOMED threads.

lol, let me get this straight: You say KILLZONE 2 will destroy the 360?!?

Yes. don't you know.

Killzone 2 will sell about 10 million and become the new GT.

10 ?... na.. you are thinking too limited.. 1gazillion copys atleast. Day 1

Check out my game about moles ^

""The Xbox360 will dominate, because of the casual appeal of "Lips" "You are in the movies" and "Scene it²". Casual games combined with the new Xbox experience will be a great success. Furthermore the "Xbox360 slim" coming in 5 different colours will become as trendy as the iPod or the PS2 was."

"Lips", "Scene it²", and "You're in the Movies" aren't going to have casual appeal. They are so ____ tht they'll each have trouble getting review scores higher than 6 and selling over 500,000 copies. Anyone that puts any faith in these products has no idea about what makes a good video game. Here are my review predictions for these three games. Lips = 6.0, "You're in the Movies" = 2.5, "Scene it²" = 7.0.

All those claiming LBP isnt in figures. The only figures not there for LBP are others. Both Americas and Japan have had LBP. The boost will be very short lived for LBP. I dont think Sony are doomed, but next week sales for 360 will include the release of Gears 2 on it. I believe another greater 360 boost next week.

Sony would have a better chance if they saved their ammo (i.e. price cuts) for later. I doubt the MS shareholders will be pleased if they suffer losses due to a 360 that dropped even lower.
