Why is this thread getting so few replies? I thought MGS in the title was the secret word to getting 10 replies within 5 minutes.

It's probably MGS4's 'Substance' or 'Substinence'. If so, I'll hold out on buying the game 'til that comes out.

Even if they did do all that you say the patch would be huge maybe something like a Gig who knows...

Well I hope this is true and I hope they have trophies. I have already beat the game twice, but I no longer have my saves. If you have to beat the game againto get the new ending that would be a bit of a drag without trophies.

Maybe he's waiting for 12th November, a month before 12 December, because that's 5 months before Solid Snake is predicted to die.

Or maybe he doesn't want to announce it until it's pretty much finished, so people don't make 10 billion threads/articles saying "WHY ISN'T EXTENDED ENDING HERE YET?"

Even if this is just a far fetched myth, I say at least a trophy patch is extremely likely. And there's no reason not to make a special edition, there has been one with every home console MGS. And in this digital era, one can just download the extra material, right?

The predicted death of snake thing would just be a cool release date.
