I'm getting sick of all the B/C whiners. So this is the thread for people who have an older PS3 with backwards compatibility but don't use it that often. Or hell, just for any PS3 user that could care less about B/C. Cutting costs to better compete with the Xbox > Appeasing the whiners.

I've got a B/C unit, but I still play quite a few ps2 titles on it GoW2, FFX ->FFXII, Suikoden V, GT4 etc.
Not to say i don't play PS3 titles on it, i do. and sometimes PS1 games and PSN games if i'm in the mood.

Same I Have BC 60GB(upgraded to 160GB) PS3. Used the BC about a once or twice. That was about a year ago.......

8O GB Motorstorm package. Rarely use it. If I wanted it bad I would have kept PS2 instead of selling for like 35$

I got a 60GB at the USA launch. It was good having B/C for a while because GoW2 was coming, but that is the last time I played a PS2 game. Everyday I think man I want to play Killzone or God of War. Then I go over to my media cabinet and I see over 100 PS3/360 games of which about 20 of them have yet to be opened.

That is the bad part about being a gamer compared to being a movie guy. If I want to relive a classic, it takes at least 10 hours. Now that I am going back to work I will only have about 2 - 3 hours for entertainment after work. That means beating a game can take a week or to.

I still love every one of my PS2 games, and I will never sell any of them. Even though I don't use the B/C it is still comforting to know it is there.

I have a 60gb PS3 unit and i've used my BC quite a lot, but thats only because i gave my PS2 unit to a buddy when i got my PS3. But if they had a no BC unit at launch for cheaper price then i would of bought that one and kept the PS2 unit. I don't see a reason for the complaining of no BC, if its important play your PS2.

I have 60G launch and while I do use it, its on very rare occasions. The last time I did I think was about 2 months ago to try and play through Kingdom Hearts again :P

I haven't got B/C. I saw no reason to, because I have both a PS2 and PSOne...
