Gears of War

I haven't played either online, but single player should be a major part of the game, and I was not particularly impressed by Halo 3, certainly not a console selling game for me

Single player- Gears 1

Co-op- Tie as both are a ton of fun with friends

Multiplayer Halo 3- because Gears 1 had too many problems. The shotgun roll, and host advantage killed it. Now it seems Gears 2 has fixed it so hopefully my thoughts will change. Halo 3 is still a great multiplayer game with tons of options.

In the end Ill play both series as long as they keep making them. They are both FUN

Halo 3. All the way.

Halo. I much prefer the fluid nature of the game and the first person perspective of Halo over Gears. Gears was a glitchy, repetitive one-trick pony. I still don't understand its popularity. People say Halo is overhyped, but the original Gears was the most effective hype title ever.

Just my two cents. But definitely Halo.

Both, but Gears if I absolutely had to pick one.

I'm going with Halo, it's much much bigger than Gears (scope, importance to gaming etc).

But I personally enjoyed Gears 1 more than I did Halo 3, but mainly because the ending of Halo 3 dragged on for about 3 more levels/stages than it needed to.

Gears because i am sometimes more of a campaign player so i like gears for that halos multiplayer is better its funner. but Coop is also better for gears so im gonna go with
