Sell your Wii and buy a 360. My brother did that, and he's never been happier. There are some games your kid might like on the PS360.

Yeah, all of those nonviolent, kid-friendly games like...

...uh...

...

like half if not more of the Xbox Live Aracade titles... Microsoft has a slew of family friendly games... I think they even have a brand... you can find it on their website.  Just because the biggest games on the 360 have violence doesn't mean that it doesn't have some gems without violence... heck there is a game where you take pictures of fish and I love it for some strange reason and the pinball game is awesome.

Yes, YES... Let the boredum flow through you...

Look, we all feel the same way about Wii right now, but I wouldn't sell it if I were you.
Chances are, it'll end up like the DS and eventually get a decent library of games if only becuase of the massive userbase.

Also: new Zelda! You know it's coming ;)

Speak for yourself; I have 15+ games yet to finish, and there are a few more I want to buy after those.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

I can see why people would be bored of Wii at present (especially if you live in Europe and don't even have world of Goo available to you)...but the first quarter in 09 is looking superb for both hardcore and casual gamers.

Agreed, I'm asking my brother to not sell it, because there might something come along soon.

I've come to a difficult realization.  After owning (and loving) every single Nintendo console ever made, I think I've started to grow bored with my Wii.  Don't get me wrong, I've had plenty of fun with it including playing and/or beating all of the mandatory Nintendo fanboy titles such as Mario Kart, Zelda, Mario, Paper Mario and Metroid and some decent 3rd party stuff such as Medal of Honor Heroes 2.  I've played countless other titles as well, but I've pretty much hit a wall.  I'm interested in Punch-Out and the Conduit coming up, but that's about it for the forseeable future.  Basically, the only time I find myself playing anymore is when my 4 yr. old son wants to play or watch me play.  I'm far more interested in my PS3 right now and have actually considered dumping the Wii for a 360 even though I don't trust the hardware.  I don't know what the hell is wrong with me.  I hate to admit it, but for as popular as the Wii is, it really isn't much different than the Gamecube or the N64 in that the 1st party stuff is excellent, but the selection of quality software made by someone other than Nintendo themselves is lacking.  I actually feel that Nintendo is no longer marketing towards me anymore.  There aren't enough words to describe how uninterested I am in things like Wii Fit and Wii Music.  I don't even like Wii Sports.  ***SIGH***  Sorry if this pisses anyone off.  I used to think people were just being an ass when they said they were sick of their Wii, but I'm here to tell you that it happens even to the biggest of us life-long Nintendo fans.

Awwww, cry, cry, cry.

I've come to the difficult realization that people who post stuff like this should draw and quarter themselves.

well many of the GC games already were released.

brawl and kart.

so buying HD console sounds like a good idea :D

It's ok, it's perfectly normal. I'm a long time videogame fan, however last generation I was starting to get bored of videogames. The Wii changed that to me, so I'm very happy with it right now.

Contrary to many Nintendo fans, I've never bought a Nintendo console just for Mario and Zelda. Nes and Snes my favorite games were of third parties (Konami, Capcom, Square) and of course the Nintendo offerings that were new to me (Zelda, Metroid, Mario Kart). I didn't bought the Wii because of Nintendo games, but because it made videogames interesting to me again.

Sadly, third party offerings are not as good as it might be, but still I think there are many good games out there, not only Nintendo games. And there are more to come.
