Forums - Sales - Anyone still believe Wii Won't be ahead of Xbox 360 by the end of the 2007?

Let's just hope these current sales figures for the PS3 remain constant or else we'll see it dipping below 360 WW sales yet again.

Am I the only one who thinks Halo 3 will move very few units?

(i know this is off topic kinda, but stickballs post pushed me to say it, even though it was very loosely based around Halo 3 being a system seller)

Only because I was under the impression that almost everyone who wants it badly enough to purchase a 360 already owns one

Halo3 wont move units mainly because the 10million or so X360 owners bought the X360 for Halo3.

End of 2014 Hardware Predictions (03/03/14)

PlayStation 4: 12-15million

Xbox One: 7-10 million

Wii U: 8-9 million (Changed 01/04/2014 from 7-9 --> 8-9 million)

True, but can't the same be said for FFXIII and MGS4 for the PS3?

Well yes if the console had sold more than 10million WW but it hasnt. I have a friend who wants a PS3 just for MGS4 but is waiting for the price to go down so this might be true for alot of possible PS3 buyers they want but dont have the funds for it.

ok, enough with the Halo 3 won't sell any units nonsense.

Not only are you not the only one who thought that, but it won't happen. Many people have a "wait and see" approach, and they will wait until Halo's release before buying a 360. They may even want the limited edition Halo xbox.

Don't worry about Halo's ability to sell Xboxes. It's going to happen.

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

Okay I will change my prediction slightly...but only slightly.

Wii - 17-18m by the end of 2007 (originally put 16m)

360 - 12-13m by the end of 2007 (originally put 12m)

PS3 - 7m by the end of 2007 (originally put 7m)

The Wii will overtake the 360 in just over 3 weeks tim, but certainly by the end of August.  The Wii will be around 500k more than the 360 when Halo hits and this will push sales of the 360 slightly closer to the Wii, but will not overtake the Wii at all in this generation.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

I've said this a few times actually and most of them I essentially got called nuts for it. I think the FPS crowd may have already, in majority, "jumped in." With games like Gears of War, Ghost Recon, Hour of Victory, Shadowrun, Rainbowsix, Quake 4, Prey and many of the other FPS's already available on the system, it's clear this is one of the 360's main selling points. I'm sure Halo 3 will lure some people out of the woodwork who've been holding back but I don't think it'll be millions.  I think MP3 will have a bigger effect on the Wii the Halo 3 on the 360, pending supplies and if the controlls are really good as the press makes it sound. Some people who even still wrote the Wii off may purchase it for the experience if it has unique truely well controled FPS's
