This looks like a good start. I would not mind seeing Sony bring out a motion controller for the PS3, as long as they never get rid of Dualshock options for conrtols. If they decide to go threw with this it will deffinetly be redesigned. It looks like a good idea and a nice step forward from Wiimote.

The only thing that would suck about it is the support. The Wii has a pack in motion controller, and mabye .5% of the games on the system actually use it. Mabye if this cotroller actually worked half way decent devs would give it a go.Based on the FPS games on the Wii, I don't feel that motion is a better option for FPS at its current state.

Hopefully we will see this before to long. With Sony's development power, and a motion controller that actually works. Mabye we will actually see it become an acceptable form of control even in the hard core sector.

I like the concept, but we're all going to look pretty funny waving those pair of maracas around when playing games... unless, online maracas dueling game?

Wow, over 100 replies, lots of knee jerk reactions. These photos are for patent purposes only so don't think you'll ever see anything like that at retail. While the tech shown will be the same, the look won't be.

I love the design. I said before, the PS3 is the only console technically capable of pulling off motion controls as was intended this generation.

Full 3d tracking of hands and head? Thats an instant win right there, I don't care that it looks like a mono-testicular penis if it works well and gives me a great game experience.

I would glory hole this controller if it gave me gears of war better than Wii controls.

Don't assume the design is final, but I think this looks WAY better than that generic motion-sensing peripheral that was rumored for 360 and PS3 not too long ago.

The controller looks pretty uncomfortable, but I'm sure they're still working on the design. Everything has to start out somewhere, let's see where they go with this. Don't shoot it down because it's a concept - concept always need work before becoming reality. This could turn out to work pretty well for them. Or it could bomb..I guess we'll have to wait and see.
