Three reasons:

1. I wanted to leave good games for others to mention.

2. I only have a Wii this generation, so I have not played Portal.

3. I am just sometimes daft.

But yes, Portal belongs on any list of this nature -- as to many of the other games that people mentioned. I was trying to system specific games when I started the list so as to be as "neutral" as possbile -- except for the cross-platform DLC.
