Agreed.  GAF has some really 1337 members that think they're better then everyone else, and therfore lash out at non GAF members even though some of us on this site have more insider contacts then even they do.

Also yes you have a point tres but you have to make sure you stay in the rules cause you can get more pull and help from the site mods if you follow the rules the site has in place.  There is a system to things now unlike before where people get warnings and after so many warnings it's a ban but personally I feel there may need to be a few modifications as there are people getting away with too much.

Because when we lock stupid troll threads, people complain. None of you actually know what you want. And you have no idea what it's like to have to be on the receiving end of a hateful PM just because you're doing your job. One member, to whom I won't name, sent me a PM cursing me out over a 3 day ban. I've had nearly 10 accounts trying to impersonate me, although it's more charming than anything. This site has just become tired, and people are so used to trolling that they simply don't bother reporting it. I see more reports for signature size infractions than actual offenses that take place everyday on these forums.

*Sigh*

We work to police these forums, but we can't do it if you're not all willing to contribute. Report a thread or two for chrissakes. Send a PM about a bad thread. Tell us about members who look like trouble. And for the love of Pete, stop whining over minor punishments.

See? This is a classic example of why the community is declining. Blame other people, since it's obvious that only a certain segment of the site is hurting the community. All this pessimism is getting my blood rushing...

I wouldn't like VGC to turn into Kotaku, but the truth is it's already happening. At least there's no Wii thread in which most of the usual haters step in and derail it completely. And they go unnoticed by mods most of the time.

Why can't this site be a bit more civilized? I know it's fun to have some arguements and system war related topics, but when every single post is trolling, then the site is not interesting anymore. Maybe it's just this gen, but the trolling here is higher than on any site I've visited in a long time.
