Xbox360 will win this week again (over the PS3). Next week might change due to LBP. For me LBP is a game that can go both ways. Don't know if it will move hardware, but software sales better be good. The hype is too big.

The week after that is definately a Xbox360 week again. Gears of War2 will arrange that. With Last Remnant releasing on the Xbox360 20th November, the November will belong to the Xbox360 overall, I guess. Last Remnant might push the Xbox360 sales in Japan like Tales of Vesperia or Infinite Undiscovery did (thinking about 25k units in Japan, Infinite Undiscovery pushed them to 28k, but with the help of a pricecut.) But we still have to watch out for Resistance2, Left 4 Dead or even a Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. It will be a great Xmas.

But it is still funny, that the Wii rocks like hell without a HUGE title coming. (Wii Music and Animal Crossing can't mess with Gears of War2 / LBP / Resistance / Fable etc :D) I am happy for Nintendo. A company that continued to sell less consoles every generation since 1990 needs an epic win like they have this generation.



Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Have you forgotten that the PS3 is 200$ more then the 360? 24K is terrible.

well the market for wii is much different to ps360, so i highly doubt ps3 will edge wii in total sales LT mabey, but the nintendomination sweet thing i have to laugh about................. games?

ps3 will beat nintendomination in gaming.

 

That's weird... all this time I thought that I was gaming with the Wii...

 

 

sorry but theres nothing on the wii for me, ps360 games offer far far more to the gamer than wii can ever offer, in fact its not even worth mentioning.

That's funny because I can say the same... there's nothing good on the ps360 for me and Wii games offer far far more to the gamer than PS360 can ever offer. Yeah I don't like shooter games!

Great seeing all numbers up. I do wish that it was a bigger 360 hardware increase for Fable 2.....oh well, its an awesome game. Looks like people are starting to gear up for the holidays. Wii is a monster! Next weeks numbers should be very interesting.

not only ps3 but 360 also, i dunno why u are clutching straws but its clearly evident that ps3 and 360 games are far far better quality and offer far far better features and offer more to the gamer than nintendo.

of course nintendo offer to a gamer but the games they offer are jibberish imo, and cater to a different type of crowd

few gems in there sure, i love galaxy but thats it

Wii won the hardware battle by crushing its enemies.

However 2 years after its release I can't say the holyday releases for the Wii are anything but pityfull compared to the HD consoles releases...

Heck, month over months the top selling Wii titles are the same, how about new titles instead of games more than 6 months old....

If you're a gamer that consumes a lot of games, the Wii is just not a good platform for you these holydays when you see the orgy the HD consoles are offering to you...

 



PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Wii will not even get better 3rd party support in Japan where PS3 and 360 have just 30% market share combined.

Or, more likely, both systems will sell about the same as they did this week, with a small (10-20%) boost as we continue to move towards the holidays. You'd think by now that everyone would have learned that hardware doesn't go through huge spikes for new releases. Software numbers go up and down frequently, hardware tends to stay pretty steady. The games that provide noticeable, sustained pushes (e.g. Halo 3) are very few and far between.

Also, kudos on quietly erasing your original 2008 prediction numbers, KBG. I believe they were something like 32m for Wii, 25m for PS3, right?

 

Ha already off by like 11 million and only gonna get worse.
