I get the feeling that reviewers just hate the Wii. They review Wii games unfairly and subtract points for silly reasons.

Maybe Wii having so many casual games encourages reviewers to review every "big" HD game with a minimum of 8.
As of late most HD games either get 8 and up or 5 and below. There seems to be no average games for the HD's. I believe most reviewers judge games only on the technical aspect, that's why Wii gets scores around the 60% while almost every HD game gets a 90+ review. The scoring system is fucked up and it's bullshit.

The problem here is with people solely looking at the score that sights are required to give a game. They should read the review to help them come to the conclusion if they want to buy it, rent it, or pass on it. Reviews in this industry like any other form of art (Yes I said art) is based upon that person's opinion. Also a person's idea of a perfect game is different than another's.

One of my favorite games this generation is Manhunt 2 on the Wii. I would have rated the game in the 90s for pure enjoyment playing it. But the message boards would hate on me for rating a rushed game with many glitches so highly, not to mention a lame story.

People will always find fault with another person's opinion, so there will never be a review system that pleases everyone. Would you prefer that there were no reviews at all?

That's because, no matter whether you're "hardcore" or "casual," SMG deserves every single one of those 10s.

Super Mario Galaxy was an awesome game and lately their are no games for the Wii while the X360 and PS3 get plenty of that.

Again it is pathetic how many Wii owners complain now that the Review system is broken while less than a year ago you didn't heard a word about it when SMG got plenty of 10's.

I lost them faith since this generation begun. They act more and more immature and unreal. Is like listening to 15 year olds acting like "adults" to get to buy beer.

If you don't like reviews, then don't worry about them. Find a reviewer that has similar tastes to you and listen to what they have to say. That is what I do with movies. Ebert has very similar tastes to me and I tend to agree with him on most occasions. He is pretty much the only reviewer I read now, and unfortunately he is slacking off on the number of reviews, could be due to health, I don't know, I don't follow his personal life.

@konnichiwa: What truth? The media hates the Wii and almost every game on the HD's nowadays gets a 9+. That's not normal at all. They either get an AAA status or reviewers get pissed for a small annoyance and rate it in the low 60%. You are just too ignorant and childish that there's no point talking to you. The truth: Last year on VGCHARTZ;...   Wii owners "SMG got again a 10!"  "SMG deserves it is the best game ever' ' I agree with the reviews it is awesome'  'SMG 80% of the time GOTY'

Then Brawl came some months later (like a little more than a half year ago) Wii owners: 'The game got another 9.5 the reviewers are right'

Crazzyman: 'I don't get it they say the adventure mode is not that great still they they give it so high scores'  Wii owners reaction: 'OMG Leo-J Crazzyman you are an st**id PS fanboy the reviewers are right'...


Month(s) later....   "GTA IV is on his way to beat Zelda as best game evar!'.....Wii owners:  'Omg the review systems are so broken'    'If GTA IV beat zelda I will stop with playing games (Maneulelf guy with blue pokemon avatar'.

The games that got the last weeks a 9+ review just deserve their is nothing wrong with it and if you would look more around you would see that a lot of games got an 7-9 score like Valkyria Chronicles, Motorstorm pacific rift, Eternal Sonata, Midnight Club Los Angles, Far Cry 2, Saints Row 2, Dead space, Pure,Silent Hill  etc..

If ya can't stand that so many X360/PS3 games got a +9 score then please get a X360 or PS3 ....or go cry a river.
