I despised Oblivion and already read one (admittedly mostly positive review) that said right off the bat it's Oblivion with guns.

Fallout I and Fallout II are one of my favourite games of all time, but if Fallout 3 is far away from the originals (in terms of depth, story) im not going to get it.

I don't want to. Bethesda's games are always mediocre.

But... it's... Fallout...

I've got to stay strong and resist temptation.

My sentiments exactly. I'm hoping I have the willpower to hold out until I get a PC rig going and the mod community has turned it back into a proper Fallout game.

After Oblivion, looking through the various previews of this game, and hearing from people that have played it I'm not going to spend any money on the game.

I put it on my wishlist so if someone wants to buy it for me they can, but otherwise I'm not going to waste my money.

never heard of fallout 1/2. fallout 3 has no immediate appeal to me but other games do...so no, i will not buy this game.

That's what I'm waiting on. I want a proper Fallout. Especially now, with GoG, after playing through 1 and 2 again...

=p Pity to see so much hate against Bethesda...Well I am going to get it they gave me so much fun with Oblivion that they deserve my money for Fallout 3 even if I don't like it :).

So much hate towards Oblivion, why? I have not played one of their earlier scrolls games but i loved Oblivion. Anyway i thought they had included the old system and a more "Oblivion" system to Fallout 3.
