GH: WT is next week.
L4D is 2 weeks away (still in 08) as well as Far Cry 2.

And I'm gonna go out on a limb: With Lips selling 132,000 units this week, worldwide, it will sell 1 million eventually. Easily hit 500 if not 600k by the end of the year.

Given the current list of games, there are at least 70 million sellers currently out.

Be good to know how many there were at the start of the year so we can guess how many there will be by end of 09, I know from one other thread there were 41 end of june, so the 360 has gained 21 million selling games in less than 6 months.

Think it can do 100?

100 by the end of 09? Sure.

Here are a few 'notables' well under the radar that have good chances at 1m:

Lost Odyssey - 830,000 currently. 14.5k last week (should sell another 30k by the EOY, leaving only 140k left)

Burnout Paradise - 873,000 currently. 17k last week (should sell another 35k by the EOY, leaving only 90,000 left)

Mercs 2: World in Flames - 702,000 currently. 26k last week (should sell another 60k by EOY, leaving 240,000 left. Close, but do-able)

Ninja Gaiden 2 - 836,000 currently. 18k last week (should sell another 40k by EOY, leaving another 125k left)

.

.. Out of that list, NG2 and Burnout are locks. LO is very likely. Mercs 2 *may* make it late next year. Add in ~10 that seece listed that aren't million sellers, yet, and your flirting with, if not passing, 70 games for million sellers before adding in any 2009 games. And I can assume that there'll be 30 games that are million sellers next year...The question is if the X360 can pull it out before the end of 2009 proper (100 is a lock for total games released before 2010, but the question is if the x360 does it before the year is actually done).

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Yeah definition of "slow burner" lol The 360 is a software king, and with its sales boos this christmas it will sell much more software next year.

My only concern is the buyers lately. Microsoft are targetting the casuals but as we can all see it doesn't sell software, the Xbox 360 has sold nearly double the amount of million sellers as the Wii, and you can guess casuals stick to the well known games, hence why the Wii has games left right and center hitting 10+ mill.

...Are you saying that the X360 can't sell to causal gamers?

Last I checked, Viva Pinata, Lego Star Wars, The Simpsons, Scene It, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and a few other titles disagree with you. Nintendo does have that nice little advantage of 19 million extra consoles that can move more units. The Wii has most likley hit the market in such a way it can move software at-will if it's in the target audience.

But that's not to say that the X360 can't have things we deem as 'casual' to do well. I mean, look at games like Dance Dance Revolution - they did very well on the X360.

And the Wii has 10m+ sellers because Nintendo chooses to push those titles rather than cannibalize them versus other titles (which is why they have so few million sellers).

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Go lips and prince of persia. 360 keeps racking up the million sellers.

The current count is 58 million sellers. It need two more before the New Year and it's mission accomplished for the 360.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

61 million sellers. Farcry 2 next week brings it to 62.

This is my favourite thread :)

Nice, looks like the million selleres will keep on coming. I expect most of the western titles to make it, probably 100 by the end of 09, depending on bundles and some more surprises.

I think the Last Remnant might make a stab at being a million seller.. its currently selling about 50+k a week and as of Dec 26 08 its about 400k.

if it can continue to sell 50k a week then it could hit that million in 3 months time...
