That was only 2 days of sales, it'll probably do better this week

I've downloaded the demo. If I like that I'll rent it. I doubt I'll buy it though. Games must have a lot of replay value for me to buy them.

Yeah, Bioshock really has no replay value. It had the different difficulties and different endings, but with how bad they are there's not really much incentive to play multiple times.
And I know people are going to come back and say lol I played the game 10 times and loved it every time lololol! and to that I just have to say you aren't the majority. Most people don't even finish games longer than 10 hours and most of those that do finish the games don't play through on harder difficulties.

Lol I can name at least 2 games on which I spent over 200 hours this gen....
DMC4, Warhawk
6 more on which I spent over 50 hours :
- NBA09 The Inside, GTA4, MGS4, Oblivion, WipeoutHD, Ninja Gaiden Sigma
And the winner being Wow where I have around 220 days online (over 5000 hours) so far lol.....
Well, i've bought it :), arriving in a few days

Flow -"The important is to pwn other ppl"
I wonder how much it cost to port it.... 31,000 copies * $60 = 1.9 million (approx).
That's not a small amount of money.. granted that is split between all the different layers of distribution.
Seems like it was worth porting it to me. Anyone know what the cost of porting it was?
Gotta think that porting it also included creating a cross platform library so their next release can just come out on both plats simultaneously too, or at the very least make it easier to do so.

Re-releases are meant to be legs titles. Take a look at PS3 Oblivion and Oblivion GotY's numbers over their lifetimes.
Bioshock will do fine on PS3.

I don't know about DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden but games like Warhawk, NBA09, GTA4, Oblivion, and Wipeout are games designed to be replayed and played many times over (though GTAIV is pushing it).
Bioshock has no multiplayer and no real incentive to play again, especially with how the games drops in the end.
And don't get me wrong about the game dropping in the end comment, it's one of my favorite games, but anyone who has finished the game can completely agree. Late game fetch quest + late game escort mission + lame boss fight + anticlimatic ending equals a bad end game.
