Forums - Gaming Discussion - woman arrested for killing virtual hubby in "Maple story"

A 43-year-old Japanese woman whose sudden divorce in a virtual game world made her so angry that she killed her online husband's digital persona has been arrested on suspicion of hacking, police said Thursday.

For those of you who haven't bothered reading the first two paragraphs of the actual article, she got arrested for hacking. Claiming that she was arrested for 'killing virtual hubby' is misrepresenting the situation.

Well the question then is whether she actually hacked his account or whether she used his password which he gave her willingly earlier.

Having an account and a password gives you ever right to access the account. Nowhere does it say that 2 people can't be playing on the same account, like say my brother and I. Also if someone steals my password and logs in with it it's my fault and they are not liable to be punished.

If someone gives you their nip and bank card and you take money from that account, is that theft? I hope it's not because the person that gave his/her key is a moron and deserve to lost that money.
