Forums - Nintendo - George Harrison: Wii Hardware Revision 'Not Out of the Question'

I'd like to see HD support for 2D, like the browser.

They are certainly "regaining" gamers. Go read the topic about how many Wii owners owned Gamecubes last generation and then come back here and say the Wii is losing gamers.

if upgrading teh cpu and gpu breaks backwards compatibility then every time a new pc comes out old games shouldnt be able to be played on them. but that isnt the case. back int eh day of the snes aka superfamicon the superfamicon was backwards compatible with famicon games. but when they developed the snes version of it they made sure it wasnt backwards compatible to sales more games and have higher sales for the hardware as well so since this whole achitectur thing breaks backward capabilities then why does the ps3 have backwards capability unless it uses that 256mhz processor which i really really really doubt.

My god, someone needs to crack some skulls around here. Killzone 2 (the member), for instance. Christ.

Good thing his mindless response is on the first page, and can be ignored. That is, unless someone has been typing a huge response to it, and it will get bumped to the 2nd page.

Ah...yeah, I missed that post somehow...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Sounds cool. I hope they upgrade the internal SD memory, because 512mb isn't that much, and it doesn't really need to be any slimmer, does it? 0.o

I'm sorry Ben, but has with Shams, I have to disagree. Nothing Squrriel mentioned (better resolution, antialiasing, anisotropic filtering) has to break backward or forward compatibility. Good emulators do all this, emulated VC N64 games do this. It can also be done in hardware, and there's definitely a point in doing it: it will look better on HD than any scaler can possibly make it look.

Reality has a Nintendo bias.
