Given the demand for all things Nintendo, I can see there being shortages for a couple months. After all, we're quickly approaching the Christmas season so the demand should be pretty frakin' high.

Depends on how low it gets before launch. Since is selling 370k ww, if it touch the 100k mark then it will be huge. But if the sales just continue the way it is, don´t expect it too pull a psp3000 stunt. BTW, I think the first scenario is more likely.
