I don't think so, I played the PC version and I've been pleasantly surprised, I wasn't expecting much, and it's a huge improvement over the disappointing 2008, it doesn't reach the level of masterfulness of PES4 and PES5, but it's a great game

It's no excuse for 'big' games to sell poorly, even on other consoles. Saints Row will hit 2 million copies on the X360 before everything is said and done. It would seem like, to me, that a game that sells that well should have a decent shot at doing good on a non-native platform.

stickball, that makes no sense. saints row 1 was 360-only, so it's already built up a fanbase on that console. because the game was good, you're already gauranteeing sales. the majority of ps3 owners probably don't own a 360, so they couldn't have played the first installment. you're expecting them to get a game that they've probably never heard of and gets little to no promo?

i'm sorry, but this game was destined to bomb on ps3.

The PSP 3000 was also launched in the UK last week, but MCV has been told that no official numbers are set to be published – though it is understood that the sales impact was far less pronounced over here [compared to Japan].

Konami claim 800,000 units of PES 2009 sold (presumably to retailers). For comparison EA claimed 1.2m for FIFA 09's first week. It should be noted that PS2 & PSP versions of PES don't get released until another couple of weeks, whilst Wii version has to wait until Spring '09.
