Ah, thanks. I think the wii can easily beat the gamecube and n64 numbers. Frankly I think it might come close to the ps2 numbers in Japan. It might even surpass it.

Weren't PS3 sales boosted by a price cut or was that only America?
Also, the fact a big new release comes out for the Wii is fairly irrelevant when it sells out every week anyways.

The 'price cut'/clearance sale is only in the US and Canada.
And while new games don't boost hardware sales for a sold out console, many believe that Nintendo is strategically shipping 'extra' consoles to a territory when a new game comes out there.
Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.
