Yeah...story probably won't matter as much here: Get from galaxy to galaxy, occasionally fighting Bowser, until you finally knock him into deep space, and then you fly away with the Princess.

Or Mario could just pick this princess and stop right there hehe.

I just can't wait for the holidays this year.

 Well for me a little motivation of a storyline helps me not to get bored with a game as quickly. Normally i'd feel that this game is pointless and stop playing after 30 mins. but for a game with a story i'd actually want to go and fight bowser.

For me it's the opposite. I want to keep playing because I'm enjoying myself; the story is just a pointless interruption of the gameplay.

This isn't just Mario - I've played very few games where the story was my favorite element.

The only series where I have only cared about the story and rushed through the game to continue the story is the Metal Gear Solid Series (Consoles)
