We don't get shit beer in oz, we make our own, Fosters, XXXX, Tooheys. So forgetting Bud, Miller, etc i would suggest mexican beer, Sol and Corona. Sol is the better pick.

For european, Becks is really nice but if prefer something higher quality get hoegaarden beer. On tap of course if you can get it.

Barring these options try some micro brewery beers, dk what's available in US but here stuff like Mountain Goat, Little Creatures, etc are tip top.

Bad beer gives you a hang over, you need to drink so much of the shit.

^^ What about some of the Tasmanian beers, Boags for example isn't bad.

I'm far more of a wine and liquor type, but I am partial to Black and Tan, and I won't turn down a Guiness.

true, i guess im just saying what i think are the best oz beers, i like micros.

But sure Coopers, Cascade, all tasty beers. Infact theyre good because they are not so commercial and they haven't been watered down and lost any strength in flavour.

What type? Cognac is my favorite alcoholic beverage by leaps and bounds, though I love red wine as well for as the "cheaper" option.

If you like Guiness and ever get a chance, try Murphy's, pretty hard to get outside of Ireland though.

@Megaman: Fair enough, but we are agreed that most of the major beers are pretty crap.

For wines, either the reds or a Chardonnay. For liquors...damn near everything, to be honest, assuming it's not the cheap stuff.

Except vodka. Can't stand it on its own (although it's great in mixed drinks).

@hsrob: I'll see if I can track it down. Considering I know four bartenders, it shouldn't be too hard to get my hands on (assuming it's avaialable in the Bay Area). Thanks.

Real men drink their liquors hard. Or at least that's what I was taught back in Bulgaria.... but a Vodka Limon (Vodka + Fanta Lemon = Awesome) never hurt me any specific way.

I'm always down for shots too, but fuck drinking that shit straight out of a glass even on ice.  That is just self-mutilation.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I prefer a "Sierra Nevada Pale Ale." I also enjoy a nice "Pilsner Urquell."
