Forums - Sony - Is 2008 the year of PS3

There are no plans for Red Alert 3 to come out on PS3 and Ninja Gaiden 2 sold more than any other NG game in the franchise.

And the only games that interest me for 2009 that are PS3 exclusive are Infamous, God of War 3(could be 2010 since only a teaser was shown for E3 2008) and WKC. There are already a ton of 2009 releases, both exclusive and multiplat on the 360 for 2009 that will be way more than enough to keep the gamer happy. At this point, its only down to taste now with so many games coming out for each console.

Hmmm, DMC 4 and GTA IV was also on Xbox 360. Don't forget these 360 exclusives: Ninja Gaiden II, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, and at some extent Too Human and Infinite Undiscovery, etc.

The holiday line-up is almost as strong with titles like Halo Wars, Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, etc.

Don't forget XBLA, with titles like Galaga Legions, Castle Crashers, Soul Calibur, etc.

It really depends on what genre you're looking for. There's a lot of diversity for both consoles, and everyone has to agree.

Sigh.

Red Alert 3 is also coming out for PS3. Halo Wars is not in the holiday lineup, it's being released in 2009. Too Human is widely regarded as awful, Ninja Gaiden 2 is nowhere near anything else in the series.

It is true though. There are many good games for both consoles, but you have to admit that 2009 is looking MUCH better for the PS3 than for the X360.

if i recall on this sight that was what was said about this year last year.... all us old timers remember such arguments they wnet on for days, we killed and ate the weaker posters

The year of the PC ... I doubt it because everybody complains about the piracy of the PC users...

which doesn't stop PC from having an insane amount of quality games in 2009 and be more profitable than the entire console industry.

I believe that with the coming Worldwide economic recession that the PS3 without a major price cut is in serious trouble.

I too think that PC gaming will have a better year in 2009 as Starcraft 2/Diablo 3/The Sims 3/Half-Life Ep 3 are coming out. Blizzard/EA/Valve/MS are holding the PC gaming industry on their shoulders.

This year could have been the year of the PS3, but Microsoft have really pulled their finger out lately. I dont know how long this fightback from the 360 will las, but its seriously hampered many of the predictions over which will sell more, the 360 or PS3.

The wii of course just doesnt give a shit

Yes, but 2009 will be an even better year. I don't see why a console can't have 2 "Year"s in a row.

Ninja Gaiden 2 also happened to get the worst scores of any game in the Ninja Gaiden series

I'm certain God of War III will be late 2009 at latest. You can quote me on that.

But, as always, it's down to taste.
