I believe those who voted for September are right for combined PS3and 360 vs Wii. Now if this was originally about one specific console vs wii, as in either 360 or PS3 has a higher total, then no, September is not the winner.

****HOWEVER I think the original idea was combined 360+PS3 not either or, as you can tell from my posts in this thread as others this is how we all took the prediction. **** So I say September is the winner.

Now, if you going to go off of NPD, then we have to wait another week as they count September as a 5 week month.

adding the weeks ending from sept 2 to sept 30 i got those numbers

Wii is 1077340 and PS3+x360 are 1126243 or 48903 units above Wii (less than 5% which is the margin for error).

But I think the topics was talking about any one of PS3 or x360 outselling wii in a month by themselvfes and not both of them as team...

I thought it was when would Wii not outsell X360 and PS3 combined. That's how I read the topic. Otherwise I would have said never.

@cebrian, NPD put the Sept 2 week in August. So my counts are right thus far. Unless we go off of NPD's 5 week plan which includes week ending October 6/7.

 Quoting your first post in the thread and reading through the entire first page, it is clearly referring a one vs one competiton. You wrote that the 360 would outsell the wii in september, not both of them combined, as did rolstoppable in his first post stating thatneither the PS3 nor the x360 would outsell the wii for the remaining of this generation, as in separate entities.

You know what I may be wrong. If I reread my posts I picked December because Wii may be soldout while the other two are plentiful in stock and thus one of them, 360, may be able to outsell Wii. Other than that I don't see it happening.

I will add you rage4dorder to the list. And I didn't realilze it was so confusing. NO you can't team up the PS3 and 360. It is just for combined worldwide monthly sales of the Wii vs the PS3 or the 360. I hope this is clear. Only a couple of people misunderstood I think.
