If the PS3 was the same price as the 360 world wide, how much would it average out as?
So if the PS3 had a massive price cut on January 1st how much would it seel in the 1st year? And how much would the Wii and 360 sell?
I think that the 360 wouldnt be able to compete and i think that the PS3 would edge the Wii in sales.

O ye and before any of you say im dillusional, im not. I just wondered how much people think the PS3 would sell in comparison to the other consoles.

Why not and i did say that it wouldnt happen i just wanted a comparison of all the consoles on the same playing field. Mainly to see if people think that it could match the Wii.

If ps3 had been that price at launch then hd dvd would have won the format war as ps3 would have not had blu ray. If it were reduced to that price now then sony would be in deep financial trouble but would probably be selling twice as much as it is now. But how many times will we debate ifs with the ps3? Why can't we just accept that things are what they are and discuss that? Why don't we see a million threads asking what would happen if the wii were $99 and nintendo upped production to 5 million a month?

WOW! If the PS3 was $200 then the whole of 'others' region would go mad and everyone would have a PS3. In Japan they would still be too busy buying a DS for everyone in the family and in America it would be out of stock everywhere.

If the PS3 went the wii route this gen and had low end graphics then the PS3 would of destroyed the wii/360. All the PS3 games would of came out atleast a year sooner and the 360 would of been dead at the PS3 launch.

Sony would be broke. They are making a loss with every console sold right now. They are +/- 0 overall because of the software sales. So $200 is just not affordable for Sony. They would lose like 8 billion this gen. I don't think that is what they want.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
