All trophies have some kind of benefit in Home in that you can see them all laid out nice and pretty.  GTAIV getting trophies doesn't have anything to do with Home.

It needed the trophies, it will add replay value, something GTA IV lacks.

Rockstar was going to give GTA IV a fall update to the PS3 version of the game, for HOME.

This may be it, not to mention sony did say HOME was coming out in fall.

It would be really nice to here Home is coming at next weeks TGS. It is starting to sound like it is very possible considering all of the things that were supposed to happen near homes release are all coming to a head. Plus we had the comment from the home beta thread with the lead guy saying he expects it to arrive in firmware 2.50 late october. My guess is Sony will announce it for a october 21st release date, along with Firmware Ver 2.50.

As far as trophies go. GTA is a joke. I like how BP has trophies that are easy to get as long as you put a reasonable amount of time in. Games like Warhawk and GTA should be glared upon for their major time investing trophies. I have played warhawk for 93 hours, and I still have not come close to getting the trphies for medals and rank. Devs do have the right to decide how they give out trophies, but if one wants you to spend 500 hours to get a gold, while another only asks for about 3 hours, that to me is irrisponsible use of power.

Agreed about the trophies KGB29

hope they r retroactive cause i was playin gta knowing it whould get patched and did most all the xbox achievments on ps3. Killing those piegions agian will be painfull especially during this holiday season when all the anticipated games come out should of been patched earlier still glad that it's getting patched though
