I saw EA saying that PS3 returns more profit than X360, is this true? How if install base is smaller?

360 is having a lot of price cut and they said that trying to sell more 360 then make a profit while Sony is trying to make a profit off the PS3

there was a thread about this when the news first hit. the answer, i guess, is that the ps3 doesn't make more revenue (not profit cause that's not the figure they gave us) for EA. something about 360 revenues being spread over a long time and ps3 sales counting right away.

i'm sure someone else can explain it better...i didn't care enough to really read what was being said.

EA made more money on PS3, but they're one of the exceptions. 90% of multiplatform games sell more on the 360, so definitely Microsoft there.

With regard to the consolesthemselves, it's generally accepted that Microsoft makes a few dollars on one model or another, but both of them took a loss. Microsoft probably took less of a loss, though.

360 makes more profit. Although it depends to who it makes profit. I would say PS3 makes more profit to M$ than 360 does and 360 makes more profit for Sony than PS3.
