Woh. I live in Aus and I love my connection. 24Mb's is ample here. You can go 100Mb if you want but it's costly.

We have a great internet connection speed in comparison to many... including many people in the US.

Ok, i stand at least partially corrected. I just checked it out and we have moved up the list compared to the last time i checked.  However, just because you can get 24Mb's doesn't mean everyone can.  My parents live in a new-ish suburb in a major metro area and have only very recently been able to move off dial-up.

Ok, I also stand at least partially corected.  I have friends who have recently moved into a newly developing suburb who are only able to get a semetrical 512k/512k connection, and they are currently paying like $70 a month.  Very unfair for them.

If you live in metro or well established suburbs, ADSL 2+ is no problem.  For the cuntry folks however, I don't know about them.  I'm sure most newly built susburbs will be addressed soon enough.  Give it another 12 months I'd say.

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!

I get around 6MB/s and at night it goes down to about 20KB/s for some reason and it's been like that for the past year and half since I finally got internet. Costs 30 bucks a month and AT&T (my ISP) couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.

:O... erm... yeah im fine with my 60 kbps connection...
*go cries in a corner*

Platinums/100% Completion: Super Stardust HD, Linger In Shadows, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Burnout Paradise, Shaun White Snowboarding, Tomb Raider: Underworld, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator: Salvation, Assassin's Creed II, WipEout HD, Ratchet And Clank: A Crack In Time, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, God Of War, God of War II, God of War III, inFamous.

Working on: GTA IV - 87%, Batman: Arkham Asylum - 80%.

My parents pay £20/month for a 256KB/s with a 12GB monthly cap. There is no higher speed available, and I live near a major UK city. THAT sucks.

The fastest connection I've ever been hooked up to was a 12Mb/s connection. I thought I was the king of the damn world, downloading Half-Life 2 off of Steam onto my fresh XP install at the rate of one megabyte a second.

I see that I was not.

Holy crap what do they download in Japan anyway?
