Forums - General - will my NA Wii hook up to a Korean television?

because, you know... I'm moving to Korea. We have a plug converter for the power, but will a Korean TV have the yellow, red and white jacks?

I haven't seen a TV in the last 10 years that hasn't. I'm not in Korea, but China, so at least the same side of the world and all the TV's i've had (4) in the last couple of years have had AV in and one even had component inputs, so you never know your luck in the big wide world;)

It should. That stuff doesn't really change based on the country. As long as you have your outlet situation covered you should be good to go.

And damn stof, you move around a lot!

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Excellent. Now the only problem I have is waiting to be able to play my recent purchases of F-Zero GX, De Blob, Resident Evil Remake, Time Splitters, Mega Man 9, Vectorman and Eternal Darkness.

And yeah, It seems I am quite the traveler of late. Probably because of my Idle

@stof: Depends which Korea are you going to. North-Korea uses Secam as a TV standard and South-Korea NTSC.
But, if you get component cables and a TV that has component input, you don't have problems with compatibility between TV standards.

If Stof is going to North Korea he's going to have more to worry about than whether or not he can hook his Wii up to his TV.

@hsrob: Stof is more extreme than you think. He even was in Canada in the summer.

And the winter. Spring and Fall too... For the last 24 years.

South is the plan, but hey, as long as we're in the area, why not? I hear you can sign up for a bus tour, but it has to be quite a while in advance. The more I think about it, the more I really want to.
