I think this OP did a good job at showing that pure technical grahpics don't matter, and that art style and visual creativity is way more important, even if that wasn't what he was trying to prove.

Why can't a ''realistic'' looking game on the Wii succeed in many ways? Why can't High Voltage Software try to create something that mixes both artistic (alien weapons, alien environments) and realistic (buildings, locations, weapons) style of graphics? I don't get why it is so bad to try to break down the wall that some Wii developers can't compete with other console shooters on the market. What if the Wii can change it's image of what it is capable of, meaning it doesn't always have to be about ''kiddy'' stuff (I don't hate my kiddy stuff though! =P)? No one answered that question yet, and I'm eager to hear you guys' reactions about it.
