It's not so much of a surprise as telling:

1. The 360 cut has helped halt (at least for the moment) the 360 slide into 3rd place.

2. All console sales seem lackluster to me.  Yeah, they could be worse, but I think they're still weaker than they could be for this time of year.

Oct-Dec 08 will be Epic for all consoles, and gaming as a whole.

only a 25k lead over ps3 during a price boost and an rpg boost in japan. its not that amazing really!

Considering it was losing by 50K weekly prior to the price cut. I'd say its great. Plus with Gears 2 and Fable 2 it will beat PS3 for the holiday season. Plus PS3 is the best blu ray player and still doesn't sell alot. Also I remember PS3 has had $200 cut from its orig price and is still dead last. Thats bad
