A nice castle defend for ps3 in EU this week. :)

I wonder how the Japanese numbers will land... Will the Xbox 360's numbers stay near the 5 digit mark now? How about US numbers... how far have they gone down now... with Oct coming up I think it will be a very huge month for the PS3 and 360

IMO I think that the gap closing was good as long as they can keep it close they will do find WW.

I predictied a 20-25k increase first week, so I was pretty close. Overall though that's quite poor, I'd say Microsoft were expecting a better result. We'll see how sales pan out in the coming weeks, but it may have been a mistake to drop the price in the EU so soon, simply from a financial perspective.

For the xbox: sales in Japan are apparently down, but still in the 5 digit section (and above PS3)

In the US, it is likely that they are near the numbers for last week.  This is where they will get the WW-victory.

yes this is price cut week for 360, i expect a bump for this week and next week, after that the initial burst will be finished.

at £129 the bare bones 360 is a good buy

Considering the 360 was pricecut for 2 days in others I think people are being to hard on the system. A full week of pricecut this week should hit around 90,000 for 360. It's actually done much better than I thought considering we are talking others.

What will be intersting is to see what 360 Americas numbers are this week. If it sustains average is higher than normal then M$ hit the target.

Good for 360,but this price cut is for the long run. Yes,Christmas. On the 360 camp we have Gears 2,Fable 2 and the other releases,while the ps3 camp gets Resistance 2... Now for the casuals... Viva Piniata 2 and Banjo 3 VS LBP... Now the prices - 180 euro VS 400 euro... Lets say you are an adult/parent -> you will buy the 360 and some software instead of just a ps3,and then move to other gifts. Very simple and easy.

This price cut is for the Cristmas,MS is just preparing to advertise the 360 with lots of commercials because they have the software and a very good price for the hardware... They win in my eyes,and that does not mean the ps3 is not going to sell.
