I think it's safe to say that crow will be eaten. The question is, who will be eating it?

Look really, Ted Price is a very respectable guy and not once has he ever compared his game to Cliff's. Resistance will be a great game in its own respect but I really don't think there's a chance it will stand up to Gears graphically. I don't know what gave everyone that impression. The bottom line is that no one will be eating crow except for the fanboys. Ted hasn't said anything.

both will be good games but resistance 2 looks the better.

overall due to a temporary sales lead, gears 2 should sell more copies, but the features in resistance 2 are far better, and is a true sequel.

The original GoW is very good by itself, and there isn't much to improve... you can give more of what you gave in the original+extras.

R2, on the other hand, improves every aspect that was lax in the original - the main character, graphics, online play, single player campaign...

That's how I see it.

Huh, I'm scratching my head here too.

Not like Gears 2 isn't improving anything from the first game. For example, having more real physics is a plus compared to the first one when objects and people just exploded into chunks (not counting physics in cut-scenes).
