I honestly don't believe that price has much to do with how these consoles are selling. If price were a major factor, then we should expect to see lower-end SKUs consistently outselling higher-end ones. Aside from the 360's still-recent price drop, we haven't seen that; the higher-end SKU wins when there are two and the middle SKU wins when there are three, but in no case other than this most recent one have the low-end SKUs ever won or even gotten much of a hold.

 

if the ps3 was at the same price level as the wii it would have already won this gen.

 I dont know about that, but it would certainly give it a run for it's money.

EU would definitely see a huge boost if the PS3 was at that price point. Probably over 100k a week.

NA probably in the 70-90k region.

Stop! Please! We don't need any more what-if scenarios; we have too many even now. There's no sense in having this kind of scenarios when they clearly are impossible. And if we're talking about future, we need to take account the price drops of other consoles as well.
