I honestly don't believe that price has much to do with how these consoles are selling. If price were a major factor, then we should expect to see lower-end SKUs consistently outselling higher-end ones. Aside from the 360's still-recent price drop, we haven't seen that; the higher-end SKU wins when there are two and the middle SKU wins when there are three, but in no case other than this most recent one have the low-end SKUs ever won or even gotten much of a hold.

 

if the ps3 was at the same price level as the wii it would have already won this gen.

 

 I dont know about that, but it would certainly give it a run for it's money.
