Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Disaster: day of crisis gets 34/ 40 from famitsu

This is encouraging but Famitsu's reviews, well video game reviews in general, have been shaky as of late. I want to see more scores and more importantly get the opportunity read what the reviews have to say about the game. I like the concept behind it and have been looking forward to it since I got my Wii at launch. So its more than likely going to be a first day purchase for me.

When a game gets a good score in Famitsu, that means it had some community hype

yeah its 85% which i believe is the same score as fatal frame IV. looks like nintendos stratergy of having outside developers do their hardcorz games seems to be working. At least thats what the stratergy seems to be. retro reinvent metroid, factor 5 reinvent icarus, theybuy monolith to make new IP disaster and entice techmo into fatal frame exclusivity through offers of publishing . i belive we will see nintendo publish the conduit and possibly buying high voltage(although very unlikely)

I was actually worried about the game after watching some videos, it's great that it got a good score.

this is great news.... i been wondering whether i should pick this up for a while now... but if reviews say good things about the gameplay then i'm definantly getting this.

I am still curious to how it actually plays however

Disaster wasn't hyped?  Very suprising since the game is from the developers of Xenosaga

Famitsu community hype. I'm sure you obviously don't go on Famitsu's site and post and such :P

well, you are right, but when was the game hyped? it was dead and then all of a sudden it was revived and will be released in a month!

I just didn't see it. I don't think the game is hyped, hell Nintendo didn't bother to advertise it.
