Somehow it feels that around here trolling is disagreeing with the popular opinion.

This has been proven correct from time to time. Am I going to be considered a troll for speaking the truth?

Originally, trolling was a USENET term for making intentionally inappropriate, stupid, or offensive posts to a group in order to provoke a reaction from the group.

For example, someone might troll a technical group by asking an extremely stupid question, thus resulting in comedic gold when some poor fool interprets it as a legitimate question.

More destructive forms of trolling are posting graphic sexual or violent material or flooding a group with nonsense text.

I think that a lot of what gets called trolling isn't really trolling under the traditional definition. The traditional definition requires that someone be trying to deliberately interfere with a discussion for their own satisfaction. Around here, I think we have a bunch of people who are unintentionally inappropriate, stupid, or offensive.

itsd trolling because on vgc people dont know what the word means and think you can call people a troll when they do not conform to popular opinion, which would be anything non nintendo related.

The wii is the best, not trolling.

The ps3 is the best, trolling.

The x360 is the best, trolling.

 that basically sums it up

Clever trolling is hard and is never fully appreciated anyway.

Stupid trolling just makes you seem like a jerk and get banned.

The third kind is just to post the opposite of whatever you actually think in every post. Eventually people will just assume you're always being sarcastic so you can insult whoever/whatever you like.
