PSP sold 38 k in JAPAN....whereas the trash box just sold 4k...........lol. PSP beats x360 by a margin of 10:1 in JAPAN . PSP also beats X360 in Europe. Ps3 has done a good job in US with 244 k(without a game except RESISTANCE) and would do a good job in Europe. at 199 pounds no one wants an x360 in UK...........it is dead there. ......u can see the ps3 effect there. the game drought for ps3 ends in march with MOTORSTORM + F1 + VF5 +others.................come mARCH x360 wont be on the shelves anymore...........already it is dead in UK Well I dont live in the UK, but I had the impression that UK was one of the strong market for the Xbox360, so where around 50% of the whole EU market, am I wrong? MS slashed the price because of the phenomenal demand of the ps3.....but the deman for x360 has simply died there in UK. Ps3 comes with f1(europe favourite genre) , MOTORSTORM , RESISTANCE , VF5, RR7 + 30 other games including the updated OBLIVION and FEAR. PS3 comes with a free BD copy of CASINO ROYALE ( england's favourite movie). in may u have LAIR followed by HEAVENLY SWORD , KILLZONE 3, RATCHET AND CLANK, MGS4, WHITE KNIGHT STORY,GUNDAM, MINNA GOLF ,WARHAWK and perhaps FF13 + tons of other games. Unlike US , the european gamers would not have to wait for months for a good game on ps3.....the flow streams continuously from march onwards. so you can easily determine the strength ps3 gains starting from MARCH
First: Please I can read, you don't need to write with caps al the time. I will read you post think a little bit and answer. Well with the big sales of Gears and Lost planet I honestly thought that UK would have a quit big crowd of Xbox360 fans. I live in EU and I agree that racing is a favorit genre for many player, but what I have heard is that F1 never have been a huge seller (I might be wrong here? But honestly I have never seen anybody buy a F1 game). I don't know if you live in UK, you might, but isn't the huge price tag a problem? I have one friend that was suppose to buy PS3 on launch day, but he couldn't afford it. The rest of us is sitting and waiting on a price drop. MGS4 isn't it slated for Q4? Warhawk cancelled or not? Well soon we all know how high the sales will be, honestly I think that barley the first million will be sold out through april (not bad sales at all). Then the summer months arrivies and sales will probarby drop of for all consols. Ending: Stop using caps thank you.

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

Lost Planet sold that much in the US alone, not counting Europe and Japan. Blue Dragon will do very well in the US and Europe, whereas RR7 hasnt and wont. Japan is a poor market for the 360, but the US is a poor market (right now) for the PS3. I guess thats why the 360 is at 9m+ and the PS3 is around 2m, eh? Kids gotta learn some basic math..... uhhh the only reason 360 is at 9 mil and ps3 at 2 mil is because 360 launched a year ahead!!! what you think they sold 9 mil in a month give me a break

Quick question, is the 360 turning a profit on sales yet? Because if it is, then thats all the reason Microsoft needs to sell it in Japan. Were it any other product than videogames, people would be quite proud of something that has already sold 3,500 units, and continues to move a few thousand a week. But even if it isn't, Microsoft isn't a bunch of net nerds like us opining over console "wars". They're trying to sell a product. Japan is a large market for that product. It would make sense for them to continue to try to break into that market. And they might just be having some... small... almost unoticable success. Despite having an incredibly small launch, the 360 is selling at a much higher rate than the xbox right now, and will probably catch up to the xbox sales wise in the next month or so. It's already overtaken the xbox software wise.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I get really annoyed with people assuming things like this. According to Google, the federal minimum wage for the US is $5.15 Here (The UK) the minimum wage is £5.35 In dollars £5.35 is $10.29, that's almost twice as much as the US Federal minimum wage. Also, the PS3 is $600 before VAT, whereas here it is £425 after VAT. So, in the US the PS3 costs £311 before VAT Right, I'm gonna take a random states VAT levels and add them to the price of the PS3. Lets take Florida (I'm going there next year... so it's in my mind). Wikipedia tells me that Floridas VAT is 6% 6% of £311 is... £18.66. £311 + £18.66 = £328.66 £425 - £328.66 = £96.12 So, in Florida you can buy the PS3 £96.12 cheaper than you can in the UK. However, our minimum wage is just under twice that of the US's. In the UK the PS3 may cost more, but it's all in correlation to what we earn here. Hey, some could say that we are getting a better deal

Yeah, Sony is so great for raising the cost of the PS3 for Europe! They did it to adjust in differences between minimum wage, not median income, that way you Brits will have to work just as hard to get your super system called PS3.

European countries make as much (or more) than Americans but, because their cost of living is much higher, most have a lot less disposable income: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_%28nominal%29_per_capita http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_%28PPP%29_per_capita The difference in the cost of living is probably (roughly) equal to the price difference on the PS3 ... One would expect that the lower disposable income would lead to less people being willing/able to pay so much money on a videogame system ...

You know I was being sarcastic, hence the "super system called PS3"
