Between the bad grammar, I do not know what to say. 2 games beat BD on a system that's sold twice the H/W in Japan. Is that really all that amazing? It's to be expected. FYI, MC has 360 at a 10% increase versus famitsus -10% (far better than PS3s decrease). Lets look at the real picture......Worldwide. Resistance has sold around 100k units in Japan, and about 400k in the US. Lost Planet sold that much in the US alone, not counting Europe and Japan. Blue Dragon will do very well in the US and Europe, whereas RR7 hasnt and wont. Japan is a poor market for the 360, but the US is a poor market (right now) for the PS3. I guess thats why the 360 is at 9m+ and the PS3 is around 2m, eh? Kids gotta learn some basic math..... BD cost $25m or so to make. It's sold 130k units in Japan. At $20 a unit in profit, they've made about 10% of their budget back. Huge loss? absolutely. However, it still has the US and Europe to go. I assume BD will sell atleast 500k in the US and 200k in Europe. That puts it at about $20m profit (assuming $20 profit per unit)...And thats honestly the low end...Not including any more sales BD gets in Japan. Capcom estimated 1m units sold for LP. Capcom doesn't put games out for them to LOSE money, they put them out to MAKE money. Thats why LP sold so well in the US and Europe (yes, it sold well in Europe thus far). LP could hit 750-850k in the US alone. Thats quite a bit better than what Resistance will most likely sell in the US+Japan. You children need some english lessons and a brain. The game isnt over for ANY of the 3 systems. Each are doing well in their own perspective. Also, none of you must own 360s, because the DVD drives aren't bad at all. They have the same volume level as a PS3 does, or most any other optical drive....If all you can do is complain about the volume from a disk drive, you must either be really dumb to complain about something thats fixed by the volume button, or you just are the craziest fanboys in the world. Also, Kawaad and such, where are you on the top 20 prediction charts? I don't see you very high up there, therefore I assume none of you can really understand marketing....,

First BD actuly sold after what they had predicted. second if microsoft only focus on USA they will be outsold WW without any problem. Europe at least stands for roughly 50% of micrsofts market. thired if you have noted it yet, xbox360 is being outsold by the ps2 for the moment. Microsoft need every market they can sell one unit on to show a good total install base.

Well I dont live in the UK, but I had the impression that UK was one of the strong market for the Xbox360, so where around 50% of the whole EU market, am I wrong?

MS slashed the price because of the phenomenal demand of the ps3.....but the deman for x360 has simply died there in UK. Ps3 comes with f1(europe favourite genre) , MOTORSTORM , RESISTANCE , VF5, RR7 + 30 other games including the updated OBLIVION and FEAR. PS3 comes with a free BD copy of CASINO ROYALE ( england's favourite movie). in may u have LAIR followed by HEAVENLY SWORD , KILLZONE 3, RATCHET AND CLANK, MGS4, WHITE KNIGHT STORY,GUNDAM, MINNA GOLF ,WARHAWK and perhaps FF13 + tons of other games. Unlike US , the european gamers would not have to wait for months for a good game on ps3.....the flow streams continuously from march onwards. so you can easily determine the strength ps3 gains starting from MARCH

UK is not 50 % of the EU market, it's more like 20 %, with France a close second at 18 %. Most of Europe market is the Euro region. And no, Europe is no strong market for the XB360. Perhaps UK is, but it's only 20 % of the Europe market. I know in France, XB360 games barely make it to the top 10, even Gears of war. And it's important to note this, because we all get the same prices in Euro region and we don't have english as native language, not like the UK which have their own money. You might want to look up the definition of "phenomenal" Or are you referring to the fact that PS3 pre-orders still havn't sold out in the UK.. I mean that's actually pretty phenomenal, the first Next gen launch that "might" not sell out on it's first day. Seriously, go read something other then what other PS3 fanboys have been preaching. What a bunch of crap.. Why do you keep saying "360 sales died in UK" with no proof whatsoever? 360 is beating PS3 every month since launch in USA. Even if they never sold a single 360 outside USA, that would be enough to keep them in business. Every week the software charts usually show a 360 game on top in UK, or sometimes 2nd place. Meanwhile in Japan PS3 sales are utterly pathetic, at ~20k a week, while 360 is doing ~5k a week. PS3 should be beating 360 by like 60k units a week in Japan. Instead it is barely 15k a week, or a measly 60k/month. 360 nearly outsold PS3 by that much in USA last month, so PS3 is not even gaining much ground in Japan as it should be. Meanwhile, most weeks more 360 software is on the top 30 in Japan than PS3, which is amazing. PS3 isn't going to do well in Europe, it costs even more over there, like $700 or $800. And people in Europe make less money than people in America, so not only is the price higher but they can afford it less. It's going to be tough for Sony... PS3, currently, is in a nightmare situation. They should have been at least able to count on Japan, but Wii owned them there...so they cant count on anything, and are losing to every system in every territory.. And as far as 360 in Japan, it is doing a lot better than Xbox1, which sold about 1k a week, where 360 is 5k a week. 360 is carving out a nice little niche for itself in Japan, and exceeding Xbox1 sales at least.
