But still you can't compare... wipeout won't be pushing half the visual porn on the screen that gt5p or grid do.

Need for speed most wanted is the one me and my kids love



PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

What do mean it has lower detail, it is 1080p, to me that is higher detail, and there is loads of stuff going on in the background, in many cases you can see cars flying around the city. Of course there is also all the effects from the weapons to consider, oh and the speed boosts will probably be more complex

If you didn't like GRID I would skip Dirt all together. It's basically GRID rally style. Brakes will definitely need to be used haha.

I've played a lot of racers on 360 and from your criteria I don't know if there will be anything else on the system that will interest you. The pure arcade style racers you look for seem to be a dying breed.

i really dont know kid, GT is the inly racing games i really like.

Ridge Racer is just hold accelerate, aim left or right. Game is balls, seriously not worth it.

 

I don't think there are any games worth recommending other than burnout that don't require breaking tbh. I guess Need for speed most wanted, I don't recall ever having to break for that unless I was making an extremely tight (U) turn or if I was doing a fancy manoveour to evade the Police.
