and please add the good old crash-mode from the previous Burnout games !!!

And the bikes are awesome! The only thing that annoys is the lack of impact. Hit a car in the back at full speed and it keeps going without any visible damage...
Also, wasn't there an introduction of the in-game musicplayer some time ago? I can't do play my music, but I think Criterion said it would come with the Cagney update...

I do believe they tried to implement it, but said they couldn't keep the pace of the game at a brisk 60 FPS so they cut it so it wouldn't ruin the game.

Then just make a 2-player splitscreen mode at 30fps, but give us the option.

Call me when they give us a patch for local multiplayer. Seriously that's bullshit. Glad I only paid $30 for the game.

Aside from the stupid lack of local multiplayer it's fun though....

no splitscreen ? :S

i haven't gotten the game but seriously concidering it (because they add so much afterwards) however, splitscreen is almost a must !

Check out my game about moles ^

You don't think Burnout moves too fast to be at 30 fps and still play well? I'm not sure exactly how it works but wouldn't the entire Paradise City need to be duplicated on each half of the screen meaning you would be running two open worlds?

No, it doesn't.  Most (basically all non-PC) gamers can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps.  Movies are broadcasted in 24fps, but that doesn't mean they are unwatchable at high speeds.

As for how it works, Paradise city isn't all loaded at once.  Basically your car has a "bubble" around it so to speak, in which sections of the city are loaded.  Anything outside that bubble doesn't really "exist" in any form other than potential data, but the game is only loading data from limited areas at a time.

I only rented the game, but the lack of local Multi-player meant I had to play with other people, instead of pwning my bros.

When I get my PS3, I will pick this up. 30 bucks is too little to play with a game that has this much win. But it's not worth 60 due to the lack of local. Good thing that Evolution (Motorstorm) learned, and put multi-player in the sequel.

Oh hot damn! I just played the Bikes for an hour and a half and I feel like I'm playing a brand new game...for free! Burnout Paradise lives again!
